For Fraser Valleys and BCs
If grade 8 athletes want to compete in Junior events: Hammer, Pole Vault, Steeplechase, Race-walk, Intermediate Hurdles at the BC's - they must compete at the Junior Level in ALL OF THEIR EVENTS at the Fraser Valleys to advance to the BC's.
For Surrey Zone Championships:
If they want to compete in Gr 8 (shot) for example, and then Jr. Hammer - THIS IS O.K. FOR PARTICIPATION REASONS - but they
advanced to the Fraser Valley's in the hammer as a Grade 8, and if they WANT to do hammer - they cannot advance in the Grade 8 Shot. Direct Athletics registration must only be at one level other than relays. They will get the point score that they achieved in hammer added to their aggregate points. We agreed last year that the team points would go to the correct grade level toward a banner.
